यान्ति देवव्रता देवान्पितॄन्यान्ति पितृव्रताः ।
भूतानि यान्ति भूतेज्या यान्ति मद्याजिनोऽपि माम् ॥ ९.२५ ॥
yānti devavratā devānpitṝnyānti pitṛvratāḥ |
bhūtāni yānti bhūtejyā yānti madyājino:'pi mām || 9.25 ||
यान्ति III/3 देवव्रताः 1/3 देवान् 2/3 पितॄन् 2/3 यान्ति III/3 पितृव्रताः 1/3 ।
भूतानि 2/3 यान्ति III/3 भूतेज्याः 1/3 यान्ति III/3 मद्याजिनः 1/3 अपि 0 माम् 2/1 ॥ ९.२५ ॥
· यान्ति [yānti] = go, reach = या (2P) to go + लट्/कर्तरि/III/3
· देवव्रताः [devavratāḥ] = those who are committed to the gods = देवव्रत m. + कर्तरि to यान्ति 1/3
o देवेषु व्रतं येषां ते (716B) ।
· देवान् [devān] = the world of the gods = + कर्मणि to यान्ति 2/3
· पितॄन् [pitṝn] = the plane of the manes = + कर्मणि to यान्ति 2/3
· यान्ति [yānti] = go, reach = या (2P) to go + लट्/कर्तरि/III/3
· पितृव्रताः [pitṛvratāḥ] = those who are committed to the manes = + कर्तरि to यान्ति 1/3
· भूतानि [bhūtāni] = to the realm of the sprits = + कर्मणि to यान्ति 2/3
· यान्ति [yānti] = go, reach = या (2P) to go + लट्/कर्तरि/III/3
· भूतेज्याः [bhūtejyāḥ] = those who worship the spirits = भूतेज्य m. + कर्तरि to यान्ति 1/3
o भूतानाम् इज्या भूतेज्या (6T) ।
o भूतेज्या एषाम् अस्ति इति भूतेज्याः । 5.2.127 अर्शआदिभ्योऽच् ।

मद् + यज् + इन् 7.2.98 प्रतयोत्तरपदयोश्च । ~ त्वमावेकवचने मपर्यन्तस्य
मद् + याज् + इन् 7.2.116 अत उपधायाः । ~ वृद्धिः
· अपि [api] = whereas = अव्ययम्
· माम् [mām] = me = अस्मद् m. + कर्मणि to यान्ति 2/1
Those who are committed to the gods reach the world of the gods. Those who are committed to the manes reach the plane of the manes. Those who worship the spirits go to the realm of the sprits. Whereas, those who worship me, reach me.
Sentence 1:
देवव्रताः 1/3 देवान् 2/3 यान्ति III/3 ।
Those who are committed to the gods (देवव्रताः 1/3) reach (देवान् 2/3) the world of the gods (यान्ति III/3).
Sentence 2:
पितृव्रताः 1/3 पितॄन् 2/3 यान्ति III/3 ।
Those who are committed to the manes (पितृव्रताः 1/3) reach (यान्ति III/3) the plane of the manes (पितॄन् 2/3).
Sentence 3:
भूतेज्याः 1/3 भूतानि 2/3 यान्ति III/3 ।
Those who worship the spirits (भूतेज्याः 1/3) go (यान्ति III/3) to the realm of the spirits (भूतानि 2/3).
Sentence 4:
मद्याजिनः 1/3 अपि 0 माम् 2/1 यान्ति III/3 ॥
Whereas (अपि 0), those who worship me (मद्याजिनः 1/3), reach (यान्ति III/3) me (माम् 2/1).
येऽपि अन्यदेवताभक्तिमत्त्वेन अविधिपूर्वकं यजन्ते, तेषामपि यागफलं अवश्यंभावि । कथम् ? —
यान्ति गच्छन्ति देवव्रताः देवेषु व्रतं नियमो भक्तिश्च येषां ते देवव्रताः देवान् यान्ति । पितॄन् अग्निष्वात्तादीन् यान्ति पितृव्रताः श्राद्धादिक्रियापराः पितृभक्ताः । भूतानि विनायकमातृगणचतुर्भगिन्यादीनि यान्ति भूतेज्याः भूतानां पूजकाः । यान्ति मद्याजिनः मद्यजनशीलाः वैष्णवाः मामेव यान्ति । समाने अपि आयासे मामेव न भजन्ते अज्ञानात् , तेन ते अल्पफलभाजः भवन्ति इत्यर्थः ॥ २५ ॥
