5th Chapter 28th Sloka



यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिर्मुनिर्मोक्षपरायणः
विगतेच्छभयक्रोधो यः सदा मुक्त एव सः ॥५.

yatendriyamanobuddhirmunirmokṣaparāyaṇaḥ |
vigatecchabhayakrodho yaḥ sadā mukta eva saḥ ||5.28||


यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिः 1/1 मुनिः 1/1 मोक्षपरायणः 1/1
विगतेच्छभयक्रोधः 1/1 यः 1/1 सदा 0 मुक्तः 1/1 एव 0 सः 1/1 ॥५.


·         यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिः [yatendriyamanobuddhiḥ] = one who has mastered his (or her) organs of action, senses, mind, and intellect = यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धि (m.) + 1/1
o   यतानि इन्द्रियाणि मनः बुद्धिः यस्य सः यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिः (116B) ।
·         मुनिः [muniḥ] = contemplative person = मुनि (m.) + 1/1
·         मोक्षपरायणः [mokṣaparāyaṇaḥ] = one for whom mokṣa is the ultimate end = मोक्षपरायण (m.) + 1/1
o   मोक्षः परायणम् यस्य सः मोक्षपरायणः (116B)
·         विगतेच्छभयक्रोधः [vigatecchabhayakrodhaḥ] = who is free from desire, fear, and anger = विगतेच्छभयक्रोध (m.) + 1/1
o   विगताः इच्छा भयः क्रोधः यस्मात् सः विगतेच्छभयक्रोधः (115B)
·         यः [yaḥ] = the one who = यद् (pron. m.) + 1/1
·         सदा [sadā] = always = अव्ययम्
·         मुक्तः [muktaḥ] = liberated = मुक्त (m.) + 1/1
·         एव [eva] = indeed = अव्ययम्
·         सः [saḥ] = he is = तद् (pron. m.) + 1/1


… the contemplative person, who has mastered his (or her) organs of action, senses, mind, and intellect, one for whom mokṣa is the ultimate end, who is free from desire, fear, and anger, that person is always liberated indeed.


Sentence 1:
यः 1/1 मुनिः 1/1 यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिः 1/1 मोक्षपरायणः 1/1 विगतेच्छभयक्रोधः 1/1 सः 1/1 सदा 0 मुक्तः 1/1 एव 0 ॥५.
… the contemplative person (यः 1/1 मुनिः 1/1), who has mastered his (or her) organs of action, senses, mind, and intellect (यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिः 1/1),one for whom mokṣa is the ultimate end (मोक्षपरायणः 1/1), who is free from desire, fear, and anger (विगतेच्छभयक्रोधः 1/1), that person (सः 1/1) is always (सदा 0) liberated (मुक्तः 1/1) indeed (एव 0).
