5th Chapter 25th Sloka

लभन्ते ब्रह्मनिर्वाणम् ऋषयः क्षीणकल्मषाः ।
छिन्नद्वैधा यतात्मानः सर्वभूतहिते रताः ॥५.२५॥

labhante brahmanirvāṇam ṛṣayaḥ kṣīṇakalmaṣāḥ |
chinnadvaidhā yatātmānaḥ sarvabhūtahite ratāḥ ||5.25||


लभन्ते III/3 ब्रह्मनिर्वाणम् 2/1 ऋषयः 1/3 क्षीणकल्मषाः 1/3
छिन्नद्वैधाः 1/3 यतात्मानः 1/3 सर्वभूतहिते 7/1 रताः 1/3 ॥५.२५॥


·         लभन्ते [labhante] = लभ् to gain + लट्/कर्तरि/III/3
·         ब्रह्मनिर्वाणम् [brahmanirvāṇam] = the freedom which is Brahman = ब्रह्मनिर्वाण (n.) + कर्मणि to अधिगच्छति 2/1
·         ऋषयः [ṛṣayaḥ] = sages = ऋषि (m.) + कर्तरि to लभन्ते 1/3
·         क्षीणकल्मषाः [kṣīṇakalmaṣāḥ] = ones whose impurities have been destroyed = क्षीणकल्मष (m.) + adjective to ऋषयः 1/3
o   क्षीणाः कल्मषाः पापादिदोषाः येषां ते क्षीणकल्मषाः (116B) ।
·         छिन्नद्वैधाः [chinnadvaidhāḥ] = ones whose doubts have been resolved = छिन्नद्वैध (m.) + adjective to ऋषयः 1/3
o   छिन्नाः द्वैधाः संशयाः येषां ते छिन्नद्वैधाः (116B) ।
·         यतात्मानः [yatātmānaḥ] = ones who have self mastery = यतात्मन् (m.) + adjective to ऋषयः 1/3
o   यतानि इन्द्रियाणि येषां ते यतात्मानः (116B) ।
·         सर्वभूतहिते [sarvabhūtahite] = in the good of all beings = सर्वभूतहित (m.) + अधिकरणे to रताः 7/1
o   सर्वेषां भूतानां हितः सर्वभूतहितः (6T), तस्मिन् ।
·         रताः [ratāḥ] = ones who are happily engaged = रत (m.) + adjective to ऋषयः 1/3


Sages whose impurities have been destroyed, whose doubts have been resolved, who have self mastery (and) who are happily engaged in the good of all beings, gain liberation.


Sentence 1:
ऋषयः 1/3 क्षीणकल्मषाः 1/3 छिन्नद्वैधाः 1/3 यतात्मानः 1/3 सर्वभूतहिते 7/1 रताः 1/3 ब्रह्मनिर्वाणम् 2/1 लभन्ते III/3 ॥५.२५॥

Sages (ऋषयः 1/3) whose impurities have been destroyed (क्षीणकल्मषाः 1/3), whose doubts have been resolved (छिन्नद्वैधाः 1/3), who have self mastery (यतात्मानः 1/3) (and) who are happily engaged (रताः 1/3) in the good of all beings (सर्वभूतहिते 7/1), gain (लभन्ते III/3) liberation (ब्रह्मनिर्वाणम् 2/1).
